Deworming Treatment
to Help Heal Paws: Medicine Hat SPCA Veterinary Expenses
by Medicine Hat Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
It is very common for animals to be infected with various types of worms when they come in to shelter. Typically animals are dewormed two times while in our care, sometimes more if a young puppy or kitten!
This contribution will cover two vaccinations for a pet in need. The use of vaccines prevents disease for the pet as well as decreasing the risk of transferring to other pets. Vaccines also protect people from diseases, such as rabies, that could be transmitted from animals to humans
Ensures an animal receives necessary dental care. Many animals come to us in desperate need of dental care. These can be very expensive procedures. Daisy herself needed every single tooth removed when she came to the SPCA! We have completed 5 dental procedures so far this year for animals in need. Having a mouth pain free results in the animal's personality changing drastically, and living a full happy life.
