Inclusion Foothills has supported individuals with disabilities and their families since 1998 in the Foothills and Willow Creek areas of Southern Alberta.  Today, over 1440+ families are served by Inclusion Foothills to pursue an inclusive life for their family member.  Families often feel overwhelmed, alone, and unsure of where to start when their family member receives a diagnosis.  Inclusion Foothills provides the guidance and advocacy individuals with disabilities need to access resources vital to enhancing inclusion in the community, fostering a sense of belonging and connection. The mental health of individuals with disabilities and their families are strengthened through active participation in the community, creating a network of resources and natural supports.  Without intentional advocacy, those with disabilities face barriers to true community inclusion.  When given opportunity, individuals with disabilities have valuable contributions to make to society: learning together in community schools, making friends, participating in recreation and sports, getting a job, pursuing postsecondary education, starting a career, making a home.  In pursuit of the ordinary!
