Last year in review:
Inclusion Foothills has supported families in the Foothills
and Willow Creek regions for over 25 years. Every day, we see the
impact of Family Support on individuals with disabilities and their
families. At the beginning of their journey, families are often
overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of where to turn. Inclusion
Foothills supports families to believe in possibilities, allowing
individuals with disabilities to thrive through connection and
inclusion in all aspects of community life.
Family Support services include:
- One-to-one support (advocacy, support with applications for government programs, referral to community resources)
- Step Up: Support group for caregivers/parents of individuals with disabilities
- SibShops: Support group for the siblings without a disability to connect with others who "get it"
- YOU 360: An inclusive program for youth 13-18 to build confidence, resiliency, and mental health
- Connections Registry: A database for families to find potential care providers for their family member with a disability
