Right now, youth across Alberta are stepping into leadership — but too many are blocked by cost.

RYP Canada is raising $15,000 to fund youth leadership, financial literacy, wellness programming, and paid youth facilitator roles through the NewLife Program©.

Through the Government of Alberta’s Crowdfunding Program, eligible donations are matched at 50%, up to a maximum of $5,000.

Why This Matters Right Now

RYP’s weekly programming builds belonging, pro-social leadership, mentoring relationships, self-regulation, and family engagement through a consistent curriculum delivered by trained facilitators and youth mentors.

Youth, particularly from African Diaspora and newcomer communities, face limited access to leadership training, financial education, and paid civic opportunities.

At RYP Canada, families do not pay.
Youth are not spectators — they are trained, supported, and leading now, not later.

This work strengthens proven protective factors by engaging youth early, consistently, and in leadership roles that build responsibility, confidence, and belonging.

What Your Donation Funds (Before Matching)

Your support directly funds:

• Leadership and innovation workshops

• Paid stipends and scholarships for youth facilitators

100% of funds raised through this campaign go directly into program delivery and youth leadership development.

The Power of Matching

Through the Government of Alberta’s Crowdfunding Program, eligible donations are matched 50%, up to $5,000.

That means:

• Every $25 becomes $37.50

• Every $50 becomes $75

• Every $100 becomes $150

RYP Canada builds leadership as a progression. Young people don’t age out — they move up:

• Dreamers (8–11): Confidence, voice, foundations
• Senior Dreamers (12–16): Identity, teamwork, readiness
• Junior Ambassadors (16–18): Supported facilitation and leadership training
• Ambassadors (18+): Paid mentoring and program leadership
• Lead Ambassadors & Strategic Leaders (20+): Senior facilitation and program oversight
