Too many young people in Alberta — especially those from African Diaspora and newcomer communities — grow up without access to leadership training, financial education, or paid civic roles. The barriers aren't ability or ambition. They're access and opportunity.

How the NewLife Program© Works
The NewLife Program© is RYP Canada's flagship weekly initiative for youth ages 7–15. It's not a one-off workshop or a summer drop-in. It's a structured, ongoing leadership pathway built on three pillars:
- Leadership & Innovation— critical thinking, collaboration, systems leadership
- Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurship— budgeting, wealth-building, venture thinking
- Health, Wellness & Civic Engagement— resilience, wellbeing, community impact
Youth aren't spectators here. They are trained, supported, and leading now — not someday.
The Leadership Pathway
Most programs lose youth when they grow up. Ours promotes them.
RYP's cascading mentorship model means youth don't age out — they move up. Every stage builds on the last, creating a pipeline where today's 9-year-old Dreamer can grow into an Ambassador who mentors the next generation. That's a decade of leadership development

- Weekly leadership and innovation workshops for youth ages 7–15
