Queer Calgary  is building vibrant, inclusive, and safer spaces for Calgary’s 2SLGBTQIA+ community, spaces where people can connect, learn, and thrive. Through this fundraiser, Queer Calgary is raising funds to sustain and expand our community programming, ensuring that everyone, regardless of income or background, has access to affirming experiences and vital resources.

Our programs serve thousands of gender and sexually diverse Calgarians each year, from skill-building workshops and cultural events to social connection activities that foster belonging and joy. Whether it’s an accessible and affordable cooking class, a mental wellness circle, or community activities that amplify underrepresented voices, each program is designed to reduce isolation, build community, and provide safer spaces for the community.

However, access to these spaces can be difficult for community members facing financial, social, or systemic barriers. That’s why a portion of the funds raised will go toward Queer Calgary’s Community Access Fund , a subsidy that helps reduce or eliminate participation fees, transportation costs, and other barriers for individuals who might otherwise be excluded. By contributing, you’re directly helping to make our programs more inclusive and accessible to everyone who needs them.

Our goal is to build sustainable funding that keeps Queer Calgary’s programming strong, accessible, and community-driven. With your support, we can continue to create welcoming spaces that celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, support mental wellness, and nurture resilience across our community. Every dollar donated goes directly into community impact,from materials and facilitators to rental spaces, accessibility supports, and capacity building for our volunteer-led initiatives.
