The Alberta Music Education Foundation (AMEF) is a registered charity providing funding and innovative ideas for music education in your community.

"Music Education can help spark a child's imagination or ignite a lifetime of passion. When you provide a child with new worlds to explore and challenges to tackle, the possibilities are endless. Music education should not be a privilege for a lucky few, it should be part of every child's world of possibility" - Hillary Clinton

Your support will help fund the AMEF to provide funding, ideas, and resources to Alberta's community music students and teachers.

Some of the great programs offered by AMEF include:

Keyboards and Strings for Kids- Provides free music instruction to interested, at-risk or disadvantaged kids.  Students not only receive free instruction, but teaching materials and keyboards are provided for instruction and at-home practice.

Student Recognition Awards- Seeks to recognize and assist deserving Alberta music students for excellence in music performance, and for utilizing their musical talents in active volunteer community service. The awards assist these students in their musical studies. Applicants compete in either Music Performance or Community Service categories via video submission.

Alberta Heritage Music Project (AHMP) - Aims to connect youth and seniors in the sharing of musical memories from the seniors' teenaged years. The story-memories are then recreated through music, dancing, acting, sets, costumes and community involvement.

Learning English Through Singing Program - This innovative course, in partnership with the MacEwan Conservatory of Music uses the power of music and singing to help strengthen EAL (English as an Additional Language) students' English skills. Students will sing songs together in English while studying pronunciation and grammar.  

Your donation will be used to support the area of greatest need.
