Since 2020, Action Lab for Development has held  Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council  (ECOSOC)—a designation recommended by the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations and granted by the UN. This status reflects our dedication to supporting the work of the United Nations and advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

In 2024, we expanded internationally by registering as an  Extra-Provincial Corporation  in Alberta, Canada, under the Business Corporations Act. On  July 15, 2025 , the organization was officially incorporated as  Action Lab for Development Association by the Government of Alberta, Canada  under  Alberta’s Societies Act.

With a strong foundation and growing global presence, Action Lab for Development Association remains deeply committed to creating inclusive, sustainable solutions that empower communities, foster innovation, and strengthen civil society—both in Africa and around the world.
