HELP! Our Ice Cream Freezer for the Kaffistofa is on its last legs and needs replacement!

While funds last, the Government of Alberta will match 50 per cent of funds raised by eligible organizations, up to $5,000, annually.

The Markerville Creamery has been part of the community since 1905. The Creamery is presently owned and operated by the Stephan G Stephansson Icelandic Society and is part of Historic Markerville, an Alberta Heritage Site.

Markerville is noted for the Ice Cream its sells, but at the moment the old Ice Cream Freezer we have for the Kaffistofa needs to be replaced.

Although we receive monies from time to time from Alberta Heritage and Red Deer County, we do need to do fund raisers to offset additional costs.
