Suicide is a worldwide epidemic. Please help us support those who are grieving such a horrific loss.
We are Forever 41 Society. We formed three years ago after we lost our sister to suicide at the young age of 41. That's her picture on the cover of this campaign. She was a nurse, dedicated to helping those who struggled with addiction and homelessness.
We were completely at a loss after she died - nothing could have prepared us for the overwhelming, debilitating grief we experienced. I chose to go the private counselling route - not everyone is fortunate enough to have this option. My brother opted to join the waitlist for a bereavement group provided by the public healthcare system. Six months later, he was finally offered a place.
The waitlists are only growing longer - we aim to provide an alternative to both options, by offering online (virtual) and eventually in-person groups at no charge to the participants.
We are a volunteer organization - nobody draws a salary, or receives anything other than the warm glow from being able to help others out of the darkness we have been in ourselves. Your donation will help us keep this programming free of charge to the folks who need it most.
