Culture is the heart and soul of Canada's most livable community

The Arts and Culture Council of Strathcona County (ACCSC) has served as a cornerstone in the celebration, promotion, and support of arts, culture, and heritage within Strathcona County. Since our beginnings in 2004, the ACCSC has tirelessly worked to uplift and encourage artists and creatives from all walks of life through a variety of programs and initiatives, such as Culture Days, Pecha Kucha. These events have been cornerstones of arts and culture in Strathcona County, with Culture Days featuring over thirty diverse community groups and Pecha Kucha hosting dozens of artists and appreciators of culture alike within our community.

How you can help us

Currently, the ACCSC is seeking to raise $5000 during the next eight weeks in order to support the Board’s operations, and to allow the ACCSC to continue to grow and expand its reach within Strathcona County by developing new projects and opportunities to continue to highlight the vibrant artistic and cultural communities as well as celebrate our community’s unique and diverse heritage.

Thanks to the support of community members like you, the ACCSC was able to put on its incredibly popular "Let the Sparks Fly" creative conference.

 

Presenters and listeners alike had the opportunity to share wisdom, anecdotes, and motivation for likeminded creatives in our community.

 

With the help of our community, we were able to host an event that received near-universal praise.

How contributions will be used

All funds raised will be used by the ACCSC to fund its on-going operations and will allow us to continue to celebrate and promote art, culture, and heritage within our community.

Pecha Kucha 2023

Through the support and donations from our community, the ACCSC has been able to host events like Pecha Kucha that feature diverse presentations from local artists within our community.

We have many ideas for future events and activities to celebrate and share Strathcona County's rich culture with community members, but we can't do it without your help.
