Calgary is no ordinary city, Yet, along with our spirit and enviable sense of community, there is a serious lack of affordable housing and services for seniors. 

While supporting people as they age is complex, it is simple to understand that investing in our aging population benefits us all. When people are properly housed, with quality nutrition, cognitive engagement and a connected community of people around them, they are healthier, happier, safer and more engaged. This helps ease the burden of our health care system. 

Silvera offers two kinds of housing options - Supportive Living & Independent Living. We have a broad range of housing options that meets the needs of a variety of incomes. 

The Silvera Cares Fund ensures those seniors who call Silvera home with lower incomes, have what they need when their finances can't quite stretch to cover unexpected expenses.

This fund includes our Comfort Closets (provides everything from daily living items like toothpaste & shampoo to winter boots), Transition Fund (supports seniors as they move and can't afford help to do so) and Medication Assistance Fund(provides financial support to cover the cost of medication).
