Raise The Roof: Help Youth Singers of Calgary Keep Our Home Safe!
Since 1985, the Youth Singers of Calgary have been a cultural cornerstone, providing top-tier performing arts education and fostering community connections. Our home, the ATCO Performing Arts Centre, is a hub for creativity, collaboration, and community engagement.
Our Fundraising Goal: $60,000 for Urgent Roof Repairs & Our Reality
The reality is our roof is reaching the end of its lifetime sooner than we anticipated. Earlier this year, when the spring thaw happened, a leak turned into a flood in one of our offices. Then, in May, major holes in our main studio were revealed by rain, flooding a good section of our floor where the audience sits. Even during a performance, the roof began to leak, and the audience could clearly see we were in dire need of help to replace this roof.
We’ve started initial repairs to keep our singers and community
safe. However, these are only temporary fixes, and a complete roof
replacement is urgently needed.
