Athabasca United Church hasn't added a story.

Since 1925 the Athabasca United Church has been a beacon on the hill in the small town along the mighty Athabasca River.

During the pandemic we cobbled together some equipment to live stream services and special events like an amazing Christmas Pageant.

However, we’ve never fully had the proper equipment nor training on it so it’s hit or miss as to if our services can be streamed to those who want to take part at home or on vacation.

Having these funds would help us free up money for others things not covered by this grant like upgrading our furnace and lighting.

We need a dedicated laptop, another video camera and stand, new speakers, and at least one TV for the interior of the church for those in the pews to see and interact with those online.

We also would like video editing software to help with special projects and editing memorial/funeral services.
