A Place to Belong, Learn, and Thrive — Help Us Build It

At Let Love Champion, we're on a mission to improve the lives of those in need. With your support, we can create Home of Belonging: The BridgeSpace & Learning

Every day, we see how access to the right resources  and the absence of welcoming spaces shape people’s lives.

Yemi arrived in Alberta eager to work and contribute. Like many newcomers, he was motivated but overwhelmed by unfamiliar systems, credential barriers, and limited professional networks. Through our programming and digital library, Yemi accessed employability resources, career guidance, and skill-building tools that helped him secure a job and begin rebuilding his confidence.
Yet even after finding work, Yemi shared a persistent gap: there was no physical space where he could continue learning, meet others on similar journeys, or access mentorship without barriers. This funding will help create that space  a welcoming hub where newcomers like Yemi can attend workshops, use technology, connect with peers, and continue growing beyond their first job.

Aminda, a creative newcomer, experienced racism and isolation that made it difficult to find her place in a new country. As an artist and storyteller, she struggled to access platforms that valued her voice. Through the TCLI Library, Aminda found culturally relevant resources, creative support, and guidance that helped her become a published author. Today, her work generates income and allows her to share stories that reflect diverse cultures and lived experiences.
A physical space like Home of Belonging will allow creatives like Aminda to go further  offering collaborative workspaces, workshops, public readings, and immersive storytelling experiences. Funding will support programs and spaces where creatives can earn, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully to Alberta’s cultural landscape.

Kai, the child of immigrant parents, faced challenges integrating at school. Language barriers, cultural differences, and limited access to enrichment programs affected confidence and engagement. Through our kids’ programming and digital library, Kai participated in storytelling sessions and interactive learning activities that improved language skills, curiosity, and self-expression.
With donor support, the immersive library at Home of Belonging will expand this impact  providing children like Kai with VR- and AR-enabled learning experiences that make education engaging, accessible, and inclusive. These tools help children see themselves reflected in stories, explore the world beyond their classroom, and build confidence in their identities.

What Your Donation Will Do

Advancing Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Home of Belonging is intentionally designed to reduce barriers created by racism, exclusion, and under-representation. Through culturally responsive programming, diverse authorship, inclusive children’s learning experiences, and equitable access to emerging technologies, the space creates environments where people of all backgrounds feel seen, valued, and supported.

Rather than asking individuals to adapt to systems not built for them, this space is built with community voices at the center fostering dignity, understanding, and belonging for all.

Your contribution will directly fund the creation and activation of this space by supporting:

  • Settlement and integration programs for newcomers, including orientation sessions, digital literacy training, and employability workshops
  • Children and youth programs that use storytelling, interactive reading, and immersive learning to support integration and confidence
  • Collaborative spaces for creatives, non-profits, and small businesses, including workshops, co-working areas, and public programming
  • An immersive physical library, equipped with VR and AR technology to enhance learning, accessibility, and engagement for all ages
  • Together, we can build a safe, inclusive, and future-ready community hub one that turns individual potential into shared prosperity. Your support transforms lived challenges into lasting opportunities and ensures that newcomers, children, creatives, and families don’t just arrive in Alberta, but truly belong.
