Alberta is home to a diverse and dynamic South Asian community, and within it, the Sindhi people represent a powerful legacy of resilience, culture, and enterprise. Carrying forward the ancient traditions of the Indus Valley, Sindhis are rooted in values of peace, unity, and community. Yet, like many diasporic communities, they face the ongoing challenge of preserving their language, heritage, and identity across generations and continents.

That’s where the Sindhi Association of North America  – Edmonton Chapter comes in. We are committed to empowering Sindhis in Alberta and beyond through inclusive programs that protect cultural heritage, amplify community voices, and foster meaningful connections not only within the Sindhi community but across the wider South Asian diaspora and the province at large.

Bringing together Sindhis across Alberta under the shared values symbolized by the Ajrak—a powerful emblem of respect, unity, and cultural pride.
