Government of Alberta is providing top-up funding for campaigns with
significant community support demonstrated on Crowdfunding Alberta.
Campaigns that reach 75 percent of their campaign goal within four

There are over 70,000 feral and homeless cats roaming around in Edmonton. These cats need veterinarian care including, spay and neutering to stop the spread of unwanted pregnancies and unnecessary diseases. While hundreds of volunteers and average citizens are able to provide food sometimes they do not have the financial means to pay for veterinarian care. Some of the cats are wild, therefore it is difficult to trap and rehome them. We need funding so that we can trap, spay, neuter and mark the cats (ear tip) to indicate that the cats are fixed. Our program is effective because of the ear marking system. Otherwise, the cats have to be captured, sedated and scanned for chips. The ear marking is one way to indicate that the program is effective. The funding will ensure we have the human resources to trap the feral cats. Current municipal and government programs are unable to assist in capturing the feral cats and many cats are suffering of no fault of their own. Your $200 will ensure we neuter, provide vaccination, and ear tip a male feral cat. For $275 we spay, vaccinate and ear tip a female feral cat.
