Alberta is home to Canada’s fastest-growing Black population, with Nigerians making up the largest and fastest-growing Black immigrant community in the province. Nigerians bring with them rich traditions, resilience, and a deep belief in community—but many still face challenges when it comes to settling, thriving, and being represented in leadership, business, and education.
This campaign is about changing that. We’re building programs that remove barriers, amplify voices, and create opportunities—not just for Nigerians, but for the Black community and Alberta as a whole:
- Settlement & Integration – helping newcomers navigate housing, healthcare, and employment with confidence.
- Youth Mentorship – preparing the next generation for leadership and success.
- Cultural Exchange – celebrating Nigerian heritage while strengthening cross-cultural understanding and pride.
- Skills & Training – equipping individuals to contribute to Alberta’s economic and social growth.
Why It Matters
Despite their talent and resilience, Nigerians remain underrepresented in leadership and decision-making spaces. Every contribution to this campaign is an investment in equity, inclusion, and the recognition of Nigerians as vital partners in Alberta’s shared future.
This is more than fundraising—it’s a movement. A movement to ensure Nigerians in Alberta don’t just survive but thrive. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and build a legacy of resilience, leadership, and community pride.
Donate today. Together, we rise—and together, we build a stronger, more inclusive Alberta.

The Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary (NCAC) is more than just an organization—it is a family and a community hub for Nigerians and friends of Nigeria in Calgary. As one of the fastest-growing Black immigrant communities in Alberta, Nigerians bring with them a deep sense of culture, resilience, and the belief that when we come together, we rise together.
NCAC exists to promote inclusiveness, empower Nigerians, and contribute to Alberta’s shared future. We create spaces where newcomers feel at home, families find support, and professionals discover opportunities to grow and give back. Whether it’s helping new arrivals settle in, celebrating our rich cultural heritage, or building bridges with other communities in Calgary, NCAC is at the heart of it all.
We recognize the unique journey of Nigerians in Canada—balancing the traditions that make us who we are with the opportunities that Alberta offers. Through cultural events, mentorship, advocacy, and community programs, NCAC ensures that every Nigerian has a place to belong, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to our province and our country.
At its core, NCAC is about unity, empowerment, and shared progress. By supporting one another, we are not just preserving our heritage; we are helping shape a stronger, more inclusive Alberta for everyone.
