FACE (Families of Alberta for Conductive Education) is a Calgary-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering neurodiverse children, youth, and their families through vital, inclusive programs that nurture independence, connection, and growth. Our mission is to break down barriers and open doors, ensuring that every young person—regardless of ability—has access to transformative education, therapies, and experiences that help them thrive within the community.
Our programs are uniquely important because they deliver intensive, hands-on support for children and youth with neurodevelopmental conditions. By combining skilled professionals, adaptive activities, and a supportive community environment, FACE provides hope, belonging, and real progress for individuals often overlooked by traditional systems. These services change lives—not only for participants, but for their families and the broader Calgary area, fostering inclusion, confidence, and lifelong skills.
Delivering this high level of support comes with significant costs. FACE’s operating expenses are substantial because we maintain small participant-to-staff ratios, provide adaptive equipment, and ensure customized therapies are accessible year-round. Program fees cover only about 85% of what it takes to deliver these life-changing services, so each year we rely on generous fundraising to bridge the gap and keep programs accessible to all who need them.
This holiday season, we invite you to join our “Share the Magic: FACE Holiday Appeal”—a joyful campaign designed to rally the community and unlock matching funds through Crowdfunding Alberta! From November 10 to January 5, every donation you make will be matched 50% by the Government of Alberta, up to a maximum of $5,000, helping your gift go even further. Our target is $5,000, and every dollar brings us closer to empowering more extraordinary children and youth.
