Edmonton Ski Club aims to make high-quality, year-round recreation accessible to every guest. Our affordable, tailored programming reduces barriers to participation and empowers marginalized and underprivileged Edmontonians to engage in sport and build community.

Winter sports help Edmontonians maintain their physical and mental health during the city’s longest season, but multiple barriers to participation persist. Edmonton Ski Club works to tackle these barriers holistically. It offers subsidized youth skiing and snowboarding programs to help make winter recreation more affordable to families. It also works on making the sports more inclusive by collaboratively creating programming and events with organizations such as the Islamic Academy and Team Edmonton. 

Your contribution to our Snow Much Fun campaign directly supports our work to make winter sports more accessible and affordable for all Edmontonians. Edmonton Ski Club will use the campaign funds to provide free skiing and snowboarding lessons for up to three groups of underprivileged kids ages 7-12. If the campaign is funded, we would reach out to organizations such as Girls InSport, Action for Healthy Communities, and the Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta to notify eligible families of the program. Parents would then enroll their kids through the Edmonton Ski Club for four weeks of free lessons that include lift tickets and rentals.

We have a minimum goal and two stretch goals. If we reach our minimum goal, we can teach one group of twenty kids and youth free of charge. Per stretch goal, we would be able to teach another group of twenty participants for free. 

Per participant: $260 (4-week program + 4-week rental packages)

Minimum goal (one group): $5200

Stretch goal 1 (two groups) : $10400

Stretch goal 2 (three groups): $15600
