Calgary Civic Symphony's upcoming 2026-27 season marks a major milestone: our 50th concert season! For five decades, The Civic has brought people together through the power of live orchestral music and this anniversary season is a celebration of the community that makes it possible.
Each season, Calgary Civic Symphony presents a five-concert series at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, featuring a program drawn from beloved masterworks and special performances that feature distinguished soloists and dynamic collaborations for unforgettable concert experiences.
What makes The Civic truly special is its people. Our orchestra is made up of everyday Calgarians: your friends, neighbours, and colleagues that include professional musicians, educators, therapists, doctors, and scientists. They come from all walks of life, united by a shared passion for music and a commitment to bringing exceptional musical performances to our community.
The Civic is also dedicated to supporting the next generation of musicians through the Rotary Calgary Concerto Competition (RC3). This program gives outstanding young artists the rare opportunity to perform as soloists with a full orchestra during our annual Rising Stars season finale. Our goal is to inspire new talent and welcome new audiences into the world of classical music.
We are committed to providing mentorship and growth opportunities for musicians at every stage of their journey, while keeping our concerts accessible and affordable for our community. Ticket sales cover only a portion of the costs required to bring a full concert season to the stage. Your support is what makes the difference.
