Who are we?
The Braille Tone Music Society has provided programming for Edmontonians with disabilities in choral performance for nearly 30 years. We serve our community through our youth and adult choirs, private lesson subsidies, and community partnerships.

What’s next?
In May 2026, the Braille Tones Choir will travel to Victoria, BC to perform at PODIUM, Canada’s largest choral festival and conference. This will be our opportunity to advocate for improved access in choral programs across Canada while shining a spotlight on our brilliant performers. We’ll share our music, our story, and our process that makes choir accessible with over 1,000 choral professionals across Canada. Ensembles travel from all over the country to attend Podium. But that expense is significantly higher for BTMS’ participants - and we’re striving to remove cost as a barrier for our members.

How can you help?
We’re asking for your donation to help make this dream opportunity a reality for our community.
Until January 1, 2026, 50% of every dollar raised through our Crowdfund Alberta campaign will be matched by the provincial government. Your donation will go towards travel, accessible accommodations, ground transport, and meals for our members and caretakers.

We’ve already raised $25,000.00 thanks to the Edmonton Arts Council. If our community provides only $6,000.00 (plus Crowdfund Alberta’s matching), cost won’t be a barrier for our membership to shine!
