Empowering Our Community Through Emergency Preparedness
The Problem:
Natural disasters and emergencies can strike at any time,
leaving individuals unprepared and vulnerable. In Red Deer, many
residents lack the essential skills and training needed to respond
effectively during a crisis. The cost of CERT (Community Emergency
Response Team) training can be a significant barrier for those who
need it most.
Our Story:
In the heart of Red Deer, a community-focused initiative is
igniting hope and safety. Bridges of Love, a Christian ministry with
20 years of dedication to emergency preparedness in Alberta, is
expanding its reach to our city. Our mission is clear: to bridge the
gap between natural disasters and effective emergency response. But we
need your help to turn this vision into a reality.
Why CERT Training Matters:
Imagine a community where every neighbourhood is equipped with
CERT teams of trained volunteers with the skills to protect
themselves, their loved ones, and their neighbours during a crisis.
That’s what our CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program aims
to achieve. Modeled after the American model, CERT training provides
crucial knowledge on how to respond to natural disasters and
emergencies. Yet, the cost of training can be a barrier for many.
Your Impact:
By contributing to our crowdfunding campaign, you will directly
fund CERT training for residents of Red Deer, ensuring that more
people can benefit from this life-saving education. Our goal is to
raise $10,000 before Christmas to host a CERT training program before
the end of the year, making it accessible to all who wish to be prepared.
How You Can Help:
Be a hero! By contributing to our campaign, you become a key
part of the solution. Your donation will directly fund CERT training,
making it accessible to more people. Your support will also help us
build a network of trained individuals who can act quickly and
effectively in times of crisis.
- Donate: Every dollar brings us closer to our
$10,000 goal. Your contribution will help cover the costs of training
materials, facilities, and instructors.
- Share: Spread the word about our campaign. The more
people know, the more we can achieve together.
- Volunteer: If you’re passionate about emergency
preparedness and have expertise to share, we need your help! Join us
as a volunteer trainer for our CERT program. Your expertise will play
a crucial role in equipping our community with life-saving skills.
What You Gain:
In return, you’ll be helping to create a more resilient and
prepared community. You’ll gain the satisfaction of knowing you’ve
played a crucial role in enhancing public safety and emergency
readiness. Plus, you’ll be recognized as a valued supporter in our
efforts to protect Red Deer.
Together, we can build a safer, more resilient Red Deer. Your support
will empower individuals, strengthen our community, and ensure that
when disaster strikes, we are ready.
🙏 Help Us Reach Our $10,000 Goal by Christmas and Make a Lasting Impact! 🙏
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us make Red Deer a beacon of safety and preparedness!
