MMIP was became an incorporated Non-Profit on February 16, 2023. MMIP’s head office is based in Enoch, Alberta, directly west of Edmonton, Alberta. MMIP’s office is situated on the Enoch First Nation lands.

• We are in place for the purposes of advancing investigations into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit and Gender Diverse people.
• We will pursue proactive opportunities to prevent further loss by capitalizing on new technology that can be deployed to vulnerable people to protect them from imminent danger and to help they stay connected.
• To provide community and family support that focuses on education, prevention, mental and physical wellness of Indigenous people.
• We will provide resources to promote family and community healing following the loss of a loved one.
• We will work towards MMIP becoming 100% Indigenous owned and operated by 2030.

Through these actions, we will continue to engage the public and private sectors to further the recommendations stemming from the Commission on Truth and Reconciliation and Reports on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, Two Spirit People and Gender Diverse People.
