Over the past 3 months, the conflict between Ukraine and Russia has forced a large number of Ukrainians to take refuge in Canada.

The problem
The Russian invasion of Ukraine psychologically shattered Ukrainians forced to flee their country. As a result, Canada opened its doors to thousands of Ukrainians. Although immune to war, they are consumed by anxiety, trauma, despair, fear and many others.
Over the past 12 weeks, we have met several families plagued by despair.
After asking them why they feel this way, here are the touching answers they gave us.
They have lost their heritage, their homes, some families have lost members, others have children traumatized by gunfire, they worry if their inclusion in the Canadian population is worth it because they do not know if Canadians will accept them as the government has accepted them, they believe that they can no longer build anything because they are not at home, and most of them are afraid of being rejected by the people and expelled a second time.
In short, they are destabilized.
The solution
Yes there is a solution. But we can't do it alone, which is why we
need you, your participation.
Together, we can have a positive
impact on them and give them hope in life.
Let us extend an
official welcome to Canada with joy and love by inviting them to the
parade and feasting with them on July 1, Canada Day; Let's play with
them, eat, drink, celebrate this beautiful day together, give them
gifts, offer them our friendship, let them know that this is also
their home, that they feel like family and loved.
This celebration, as joyful as it is, will
be an opportunity for us to change the sad and desperate atmosphere of
our new brothers, to share with them and with all the different
nations that make up Canada a meal of peace and freedom.
By
wishing them a warm welcome in public, we will remove their doubts
about acceptance, the children will be able to feel happy and this
will remove the anxiety that devours them.
Our many possessions
and gifts will allow them to feel at home here and know that
everything is still possible.
Our need?
We want to receive many more families, many more Ukrainians, offer much more than we have the necessary funds. Any contribution will help us meet our need to help newcomers feel at home and regain a taste for life. A person's life can change, can start to have meaning again thanks to your gift.
